DPS6 Installation Precautions
- Before replacing the product, ensure the transmission is free of faults.
- The vehicle’s battery voltage must exceed 12.5V. If the battery has been in use for over 3 years, replacement is recommended. (Note: Failures or damages caused by insufficient voltage will not be covered under warranty.)
- Prior to installation, fit the two sealing rings on the motor shaft and manually verify the shaft’s rotational capability.
- After securing the bolts, first connect the clutch connector (located below), followed by the power connector (located above).
- Upon completion, perform a TCM adaptive learning procedure using diagnostic equipment (e.g., Launch/Autel).
TCM Adaptive Learning (Matching)
- Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position (do not start the engine). Deactivate all electrical loads (e.g., A/C). (Note: Engage the parking brake and depress the brake pedal throughout the process.) Monitor the vehicle’s ECU until all procedures are displayed as "Complete" before starting the engine.
- When prompted to "Ignition On", ensure the engine starts successfully on the first attempt (fully depress the accelerator pedal). Confirm the prompt while maintaining full throttle.
- Release the accelerator pedal only after the system displays "Release Throttle". Confirm and await completion of the A/B shaft matching process.
- Clear all fault codes after matching is finalized.
Troubleshooting:
- If the A/B shaft matching stalls, manually pushing the vehicle forward/backward and restart the procedure.
- Older versions of Launch/Autel software may fail to complete the process. Upgrade to the latest software version before retrying.
Note: Technical terms and equipment brands (e.g., Launch, Autel) are retained for global standardization.
